This explains what S&W Holiday Lighting collects when you ask for a holiday lighting estimate, send us a message, or become our customer, why we collect it, and what we do with it. We keep it short and plain on purpose.
What we collect
- Your name, phone number, email address, and — for an estimate request — your home address and ZIP code.
- The details you choose in the estimate form: your home, what you want lit, style and timing, budget range, and any notes.
- Whatever you write in the contact form’s message field.
- An optional photo of the front of your home, if you add one.
- How you heard about us, and the link you arrived from (for example a yard sign or Facebook link).
- A record that you agreed to be contacted, with the date and the exact wording you saw.
- If you become a customer: proposals, invoices, payments, job photos and notes, and our messages with you.
- A scrambled, one-way code made from your network address, used only to spot someone sending many requests at once. We do not keep the address itself.
Why we collect it
To prepare your estimate, respond to your message, contact you about it, design and schedule the work, install and take down your lights, invoice you and take payment, follow up on service, and invite you back next season. We also use it to keep our forms free of spam.
Text messages
If you provide a phone number, you agree we may contact you by call or text about your estimate, scheduling, or installation. Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies. Reply STOP at any time to stop text messages, or HELP for help. Consent to receive texts is not a condition of any purchase.
Who else handles it
We use a few service providers to run the business. They handle your information only to provide their service to us:
- Vercel, which hosts this website.
- Supabase, which stores our records and photos.
- Resend, which sends our emails.
- Stripe, which processes card and bank payments when you pay an invoice online. Your card or bank details go to Stripe and are never stored by us.
We do not sell your information
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with anyone for their advertising. We may disclose it if the law requires.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect your information, including encrypted connections and access limited to the service providers listed above. No method of storage or transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
How long we keep it
An estimate request that does not become a job is kept for as long as we may still follow up on it, and is deleted or anonymized after a period of inactivity. If you become a customer, we keep proposals, invoices, payments, and job records for as long as we need them to serve you and to meet our tax and legal obligations (generally several years, to match applicable recordkeeping requirements). If you would like your information deleted sooner, tell us and we will remove what we are allowed to.
Children’s privacy
Our services are directed at adults arranging holiday lighting for their property. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Your choices
You can ask us what we have about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it or stop contacting you. Reach us at (817) 807-2768 or hello@swholidaylighting.com. We aim to respond within 30 days. Emails we send automatically include a link to stop them, and you can stop text messages at any time by replying STOP.
Governing law
This policy, and any dispute about it, is governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page.
