Frequently Asked Questions
When do installs happen?
We begin installs in mid-November and schedule through the season based on booking order.
When do you take everything down?
We take everything down in early January, right after New Year’s, and work through the rest of the month as weather and scheduling allow.
What if it’s windy or rainy on my install day?
Weather delays are rescheduled at no charge. If wind or rain makes it unsafe to be on a roof, we’ll text you before any change and get you back on the calendar as soon as conditions allow.
How much electricity do the lights use?
Very little. We install LED lights, which use a small fraction of the electricity older incandescent string lights do — most homeowners don’t notice a meaningful change in their power bill.
Will this damage my roof or gutters?
No. We use clips designed to attach to your roofline, gutters, and trim without nails, screws, or adhesive — nothing penetrates the roof.
What does the warranty cover?
Every install comes with a 5-year warranty. If any of the lights we installed are damaged within five years, we’ll replace the affected parts at no cost to you — as long as S&W Holiday Lighting installed them.
What if a light goes out during the season?
Just reach out. Service calls for outages during the season are included — we’ll come fix it.
Can I keep the same lights up year to year?
The lights we install remain S&W property. We clean, inspect, and store them for you between seasons, so you get a well-maintained display back each year rather than having to buy new lights.
How does payment work?
A deposit is due when you approve your estimate, with the balance due at installation completion. We accept check, Venmo, Zelle, or card — payment details come with your proposal.
How far do you travel?
We travel throughout the Brazos Valley and the Houston area’s northwest suburbs. Homes further out may include a small travel consideration, which we’ll always confirm with your estimate — never a surprise.
